‘Bond 25’ Casting Gears Up as Production Nears Spring Start

James Bond 25 Still Wants Rami Malek To Play Villain, Other Casting Details Revealed

With production expected to start this spring, MGM and Eon are getting closer to deciding who will be joining Daniel Craig in his next outing as Agent 007 in the 25th James Bond movie. Billy Magnussen (Into the Woods, The Big Short) is reportedly the top choice to play the Central Intelligence Agency agent.

Oscar victor Rami Malek is reportedly in the final stages of securing a deal to play a "Bond villain" in next installment of the franchise.

The creative team is teeming with excitement over the prospect of landing a newly minted Oscar victor, opposite Daniel Craig - all that remains is for the 37-year-old Malek to sign the dotted line, after agreeing to terms over his contract, which is inherently something his management team considered when they delayed their decision.
