Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren published a DNA test on Monday that she says shows that her claims to Native American ancestry have a basis in fact.

In a tweet this morning, US Senator Elizabeth Warren challenged President Trump to honor his pledge to give $1M to a charity of her choice.

As Warren raises her national profile, Trump has returned more often to ridiculing her as "Pocahontas" in public speeches.

The results, as shared with The Boston Globe, reportedly reveal "strong evidence" the MA senator had a Native American ancestor dating back six to 10 generations.

"Her heritage had no bearing on her hiring".

The vulnerability enabled the attackers to get an access token for Tom's account as well, and the attack spread from there. Facebook said the FBI is investigating, but asked the company not to discuss who may be behind the attack.

The analysis was done by Carlos D. Bustamante, a Stanford University professor noted for his work on tracking population migration via DNA analysis.

Warren is seeking re-election to a second term in MA and is a potential 2020 presidential contender.

That meshes with Warren's narrative that her great-great-great-grandmother, OC Sarah Smith, was at least partially Native American.

On Monday - in a move that makes her presidential ambitions unmistakable - Warren released a test that appears to do just that.

The senator's accompanying video begins with a clip of the president mocking her at a rally, saying: "She said she's Native-American and I said, Pocahontas!".

'And we will very gently take that kit, and we will slowly toss it - hoping it doesn't hit her and injure her arm, even though it only weighs probably two ounces'.

His report said "the vast majority" of Warren's ancestry is European, but added "the results strongly support the existence of an unadmixed Native American ancestor". "I understand and respect that distinction, but my family history is my family history".

"And I never expected the president of the United States to use my family's story as a racist political joke", she said. "A deep, independent investigation shows my background played no role in any job I got". Now, a DNA test proves that there may be a grain of truth to Warren's claim.

Warren, an economic populist and leading voice of the #MeToo movement, said last month in Holyoke, Mass., that she'll take a "hard look at running for president" after the November elections.

Warren replied that it's time "for women to go to Washington to fix our broken government, and that includes a woman at the top". "I think it means that she's definitely running for president because she wanted to put this behind her, and the politics of this are more interesting".

Global markets slide as Trump blames the Fed
The market has been rattled by rising interest rates, signs of a slowdown in the global economy and the US-China trade dispute. Trump owes more than $300 million to Deutsche Bank AG of debt with interest rates that rise or fall depending on Fed policy.
