Accompanied by Prince Harry, 34, and her mom, Doria Ragland (who flew in from Los Angeles for the occasion), the Kensington Palace celebration marked the publication of Together: Our Community Cookbook (available in Canada on September 25).
Prince Harry has proven yet again he's the doting husband of our dreams - this time, coming to the aid of his wife, Meghan Markle, when she almost had a hair catastrophe during an event at Kensington Palace.
Meghan, wearing a black top, pleated black skirt and a bright blue coat, joined the women from the Hubb Community Kitchen and created a meal of coconut chicken curry, aubergine masala, and chapatis from the recipes in the book.
All the recipes came from women left homeless by London's Grenfell Tower fire past year.

She said: 'Working on this project for the past nine months has been a tremendous labour of love.
At one point, Meghan addressed the crowd like a true pro, talking for three full minutes without notes about her "first project" as a royal. Speaking of the Duchess' experience at the kitchen, she said: "She felt very much at home".
Her mum, meanwhile, embraced each of the women with a warm hug, telling them: "It's awesome". Meghan continued, "That's a testament to what this means to people and I'm so proud of you".

The book was inspired by a visit by the former American actress to the Hubb Community Kitchen in North Kensington, which could only open a few days a week for lack of funds.
The Hubb Community Kitchen which is based at the Al Manaar Muslim Cultural Heritage Centre is a place for local women to gather and cook for members of the community where an inferno tore through Grenfell Tower, a tragic event which took the lives of 72 of the building's residents. She also expressed her heartfelt affection for the project.
