The Washington Post reported that Trump had expressed concerns in the past week about his son Donald Trump Jr's legal exposure from the 2016 Trump Tower meeting. In the Twitter message, Trump claims that the meeting was "totally legal" and is "done all the time in politics".

The lawyer recalled the moment he realized he was starting to get under Trump's skin: "He's calling me a 'third-rate lawyer, ' I though it was pretty good that he was saying that because it meant that finally, after nearly two hours, that I had gotten to him".

President Trump's lawyer Jay Sekulow vowed to take the case all the way to the Supreme Court if special counsel Robert Mueller's team tries to subpoena the president as part of the Russian Federation investigation.

WASHINGTON ― Forty times President Donald Trump has posted statements on Twitter asserting "NO COLLUSION" with Russian Federation during the 2016 election. If this story wasn't about Jr. seeking dirt, it would've been about Trump campaign officials meeting with a Russian lawyer who is lobbying against US-imposed sanctions on Russia.

Any legal battle over whether the president can be compelled to testify could go all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court, the lawyer, Jay Sekulow, said on ABC's "This Week".

Plane crash in Switzerland killed all 20 people on board
Police said Sunday they have now determined that all 20 people on board the plane, including its three crew members, died. Ju-Air, which offers flights from Junkers Ju-52 planes, said one of its vehicles was involved in the incident.

Later White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders had said the president weighed in, but didn't dictate a statement released in July 2017 on the meeting, which said the get-together was focused on Russian adoptions.

"Most politicians would have gone to a meeting like the one Don jr attended in order to get info on an opponent", Trump wrote on Twitter.

Trump Jr. had also previously claimed that he had never participated in any such meeting at all.

The meeting is of interest to special counsel Robert Mueller and his investigation of possible collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russian government.

This is one of several reasons Trump has upped his public attacks on Mueller, because he doesn't want him touching his family, the person adds. I made a mistake in my statement, I've talked about that before.

Iran Guards says it held Gulf drills as USA tensions rise
Sanctions will also be reapplied to USA imports of Iranian carpets and foodstuffs and on certain related financial transactions. However, only 13 planes have been delivered since sanctions on Iran were lifted under the nuclear pact.

"I don't represent Don Jr., but I will tell you I - I have no knowledge at all of Don Jr. being told that he's a target of any investigation and I have no knowledge of him being interviewed by the special counsel", Sekulow said. "When you look at a meeting, George, that took place ... now two years ago, the question is, 'What law, statute or rule or regulation's been violated?' Nobody's pointed to one". "I had a lot of information to process".

"It doesn't mean illegality, it doesn't mean criminality", he said.

Interested in Russia Investigation? Last week, Trump's national security team said Russian Federation was behind "pervasive" attempts to interfere in November 2018 congressional elections. The events he is focusing on include the president's firing of FBI director James Comey and Trump's tweets, specifically the ones that have called on Attorney General Jeff Sessions to end the investigation.

Also, if any Americans aided in disseminating the Russian hacked data, then they could be roped in as co-conspirators in Mueller's indictment of 12 Russian intelligence officers (GRU) for hacking the DNC, DCCC, and Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign during the 2016 election and leaking through DCLeaks and Guccifer 2.0.
