5G Moto Mod

Moto Z3 debuts with fingerprint scanner on the side, 5G mod - news

Back in early June, Lenovo-owned Motorola unveiled the Moto Z3 Play.

While there might not be something that special about Moto Z3 at first glance, the smartphone will become truly unique in 2019 when Motorola will make the brand-new 5G Moto Mod available for purchase.

The Moto Z3 doesn't have the shatterproof display that the Z2 Force had. However, it's the battery that steals the spotlight here. The 835, which was last year's flagship chip, doesn't support 5G, but all of that magic will come in the Mod. As per company's claims, the smartphone could draw half a day's power with just half an hour of charging. Read on to find out more about the new Moto Z3.

Financial fruit: Apple becomes first trillion-dollar publicly-traded company
It did not reach the $100 billion mark until May 2007, but five years later the technology giant reached a value of $500 billion. The price of Apple moved above $207.04 and in the process, took the market capitalization to $1 trillion.

As previously mentioned, Moto Z3 is a flagship smartphone that ships with high-end specs. The Z3 will be available in the U.S. exclusively through Verizon starting on 16 August at United States dollars 20 a month for 24 months on Verizon's device payment plan (USD 480 retail; 0 percent APR). However, with the Moto Z3 launching at $460 in the USA, it seems that we might get it for less than the Z2 Force. However, this 5G Moto Mod will only be available in the U.S., that too exclusively on Verizon.

New Moto Mods, the clip-on attachable accessories available for Motorola's Z series, were expected with the Moto Z3 announcement, and one has materialised thus far. It has a 6-inch OLED screen with a resolution of Full HD+ and an aspect ratio of 18:9 which essentially means it's notch-free. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, paired with 4GB RAM.

It has 12 megapixels dual (monochrome + RGB) rear camera withf/2.0 aperture, 1.25um pixel size, Laser Autofocus (pDAF), Color Correlated Temperature (CCT) dual LED flash and Zero Shutter Lag (ZSL).

China's Wang says response to United States trade measures 'justified'
Beijing's threat comes just a day after it called for dialogue based on mutual respect. A top White House adviser warned China on Friday not to underestimate U.S.

The Moto Z3 runs stock version of Android 8.1 Oreo, and, Motorola is promising "two future upgrades to the latest Android OS, absolutely free".

Unlike the Moto Z2 Force, the Z3 does not have an unbreakable display. Most of the magnetic attachments seemingly boost battery life, but one of the most intriguing ones is a mod that lets the device access the 5G network. It'll include a 2,000 mAh battery inside.
