Rudy Giuliani said he wants Special Counsel Robert Mueller to produce evidence that President Trump has committed a crime before they agree on the president being interviewed.
In an interview last week with Stephanopoulos, Cohen acknowledged that he soon could face criminal charges in an ongoing Federal Bureau of Investigation probe of his finances and business dealings.
Rudy Giuliani, the former NY mayor and Trump's lead attorney, told ABC News and CNN that Trump's lawyers want evidence from Mueller's investigators that Trump engaged in wrongdoing before agreeing to let him be questioned.
According to these same sources, Cohen feels that the president and Giuliani are sending him a veiled threat and will continue to call his honesty into question if he opposes them.

In a Fox News interview a year ago, Mr. Cohen declared: "I will do anything to protect Mr. Trump". My quote is not evidence of a crime, it's a factual basis for the investigation.
