After a nightmarish 2017/18 season at Chelsea, veteran centre-back David Luiz is ready to turn the corner with the Blues under new boss Maurizio Sarri and the Brazilian has stated that he's loving the Italian tactician's philosophy. When asked how he feels physically now, the Brazilian smiled and replied: "I had a lot of time to take care of me, so now I'm 100 percent".

The 31-year-old, however, insisted that he will not be forced out of Stamford Bridge.

"I came back to Chelsea to stay here", Luiz said.

"Last season I arrived in January, halfway through the season, and it takes a little bit longer to adapt when you come in at that point", he said.

On Sarri's philosophy, Luiz claimed, "I love this philosophy". We play high, with a lot of possession of the ball, in a technical way.

Morata had also endured a tough start to pre-season, with Sarri being critical of his performance against Perth Glory, and that had fuelled speculation he could be set to leave Chelsea, with the club having a reported interest in Juventus' Gonzalo Higuain. He's trying to help us every single day to quickly learn his philosophy, to do our best for Chelsea.

'We are trying to train really hard every single day, double sessions, to learn quickly. But it also depends on us.

'But it also depends on us, if we are dedicated every day and doing things every single day in training, especially in this beginning with these friendly games. We're doing that every single day.
