"It celebrates Intel's legacy of industry-leading performance by featuring our first 6-core, 12-thread processor with integrated graphics in an 1151-pin package supporting a 64-bit instruction set", Intel explains (PDF).
The company has made a decision to commemorate the 40th anniversary of its 8086 processor by launching its first 5GHz desktop CPU, the aptly titled Core i7-8086K. This processor is being released to to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Intel's 8086 processor and Intel's first consumer desktop processor that runs out-of-the-box at speeds up to 5Ghz.

The video shows the officer pulling Weinman's hair and forcing her to the sand as he calls for back-up. The third video begins mid-confrontation, with Weinman being restrained on the sand by the officer.
We saw the unreleased chip running with all 28 cores hitting 5GHz while, even with the 7980XE hitting the same frequency when overclocked, the previous megacore chip could only manage 5,029 in the same benchmark. The mystery 28-core/56-thread chip is more than twice as fast, and almost five times faster than a Core i7-8700K, which we recorded a score of 1,522 in the same benchmark. To be clear, this is a single-socket chip with 28 cores and 56 threads of computing muscle, clocked at 5GHz.
Intel only teased the chip-no details on the name, architecture or process-but we can expect it to be considerably more expensive than the $1999 Core i9-7980XE.
Neymar Back A Bang As Brazil Outclass Nigeria’s World Cup Foes Croatia
Neymar had replaced midfielder Fernandinho at halftime with the score at 0-0 and needed only 23 minutes to make his mark. Despite the looming spectre of the World Cup, now less than two weeks away, the game proved a physical one.
The new core isn't just a top-end SKU, however - it's a limited edition CPU, with just 50,000 parts planned at this point.
Intel also announced two new 8th generation Intel Core mobile chips, the Whiskey Lake U-series and Amber Lake Y-series. It has demonstrated the Intel Low Power Display Technology in a Dell XPS 13 laptop fitted with a special Sharp/Innolux 1W LCD screen, claiming that it boosted battery-life by between 4 and 8 hours, depending on usage. Well, Intel is throwing down the gauntlet later this year with a monstrous 28-core processor that will ship to customers by the end of the year.
