Los Angeles remains the nation's second-largest city with 3,999,759 residents as of July 1, 2017, according to the Census Bureau.
Houston is the fourth most populous city in the country, with San Antonio in seventh, Dallas (1.3 million) at No. 9, and Austin at No. 11. The Census Bureau reported that eight of the 15 cities or towns with the largest population gains were located in the South in 2017, with three of the top five in Texas. The city sits west of Edmond in Canadian County. It added 2,965 people since 2010, bringing its population to an estimated 62,353, according to the census, which ranks it as the 597th-largest city in the nation.
For the first time this decade, the city of Austin has had its lowest year-to-year growth. While the Northeast grew more slowly than the rest of the country, all of the New England states grew faster than CT.
As of July 1, 2017, according to the Census, there were 892,062 people in Jacksonville.

The Frisco's population increase from July 1, 2016 to July 1, 2017 is 8.2 percent. She says while jobs have been added to the area, the economy hasn't been growing as quickly.
Additionally, the report said: "Fort Worth surpassed Indianapolis, Ind., becoming the 15th largest city in the United States with a population of 874,168". The growth rate of 0.8 percent from 2016 to 2017 was slower than the 1.4 percent a decade ago between 2006 and 2007.
The overall population of Florida grew about 2 million from 2010 to almost 21 million by 2017.
