"We're thrilled that America has welcomed the Conner family back into their homes ..."

During a speech on infrastructure in Richfield, Ohio, Thursday, the president boasted about the ratings for the "Roseanne" reboot, which premiered Tuesday.

Returning to TV this week 21 years after ending its initial nine-season run on ABC, "Roseanne" averaged a 5.1 rating and 18.2 million viewers over an hour with back-to-back episodes.

After President Donald Trump telephoned her personally to offer his congratulations for her sitcom's stellar ratings, Roseanne Barr is returning the favor by defending Trump in a series of weird tweets posted Friday (March 30). "I disagree on some things, but give him benefit of doubt-4 now".

But some Android users may have granted that permission without realizing it, before Android tweaked how its permissions work. However there is no indication that Facebook will change what it does with user's data.

Trump often talks or tweets about shows' ratings, sometimes comparing them to when he was on "The Apprentice". After more than 23 million people tuned in to watch the Conner family return to TV, ABC renewed the show for another season. "And it was about us!".

Needless to say, the show is not without controversy, especially with the titular character - like Barr herself - being a staunch supporter of President Donald Trump.

"I'm sure some people are supporting the show because they relate to whether they find it amusing", he stated.

"Look at 'Roseanne!' I called her yesterday!"

"We talked about a lot of things. It's actually a Hollywood fantasy of what Trump voters are: people who agree with Hollywood elites on values, but just disagree on economics because they're old white factory workers". Barr has been a vocal Trump supporter, and a promoter of far-right opinions and conspiracies on Twitter. "Or post-election, when one of Barr's tweets backed the PizzaGate conspiracy theory which stated some Democrats were part of a sex trafficking ring in the basement of a Washington pizza restaurant". "I was flying on the day of the premiere and I was kind of watching the clock and I was like 'Oh it's coming on in NY, oh it's coming on in Chicago, '" the 43-year-old recalled.

But she also got plenty of pushback. The Times said Trump will be less of a topic in the remaining seven episodes, but that other economic and cultural issues will be brought up - so we'll see if its ratings power will continue.

"The whole premise of "Roseanne" is that this pro-abortion, pro-LGBT woman who is happy to watch her grandson wear girls' clothing voted Trump - because she's blue collar", writes Shapiro.
