Report Says Mo. Gov. 'Coerced' Woman To Have Non-Consensual Oral Sex

A woman who carried out a 2015 affair with Gov. Eric Greitens (R) accused him of coercing her into unwanted sexual contact while she wept on the floor of his basement, according to testimony included in a highly-anticipated Missouri House committee report released Wednesday evening.

Missouri Governor Eric Greitens appears in a police booking photo in St. Louis, Missouri, U.S., February 22, 2018.

Greitens has repeatedly denied any non-consensual encounters, violence or blackmail.

Flanked by other top Republican legislative leaders, House Speaker Todd Richardson announced that the special committee will expand its mission and make recommendations after the May 18 end of the regular legislative session on whether to pursue impeachment proceedings seeking to remove Greitens from office.

Greitens and the woman allegedly ended the affair in October 2015, and she never saw him again, she testified.

"In just 33 days a court of law and a jury of my peers will let every person in Missouri know the truth and prove my innocence", Greitens told journalists gathered in his office Wednesday before the report was set to be released. He went on to call the report "one-sided tabloid, trash gossip that was produced in a secret room". Asked by the committee whether the oral sex was coerced, she responded: "Coerced, maybe".

According to the Kansas City Star, the committee also interviewed two of the woman's friends, who said she told them about her encounters with Greitens at the time. Then, she said, he spit water into her mouth.

It "actually harm, and I do know that I actually was really scared and sad when that occurred", she talked about. That came after the ex-husband of a woman the governor admitted to having an affair with made the claim to a St. Louis news outlet.
