Ozil reaches Arsenal century as he delivers for Wenger against AC Milan

The last time Arsenal won at the San Siro was a 2-0 win in the second-leg round of 16 of the Champions League in 2008.

The German worldwide has been at the top of his game for the first 45 minutes at the San Siro, with Gennaro Gattuso's men struggling to contain him.

It meant Arsenal arrived at the San Siro at arguably the lowest point of Wenger's 22-year reign, but produced an improved performance to inflict a first defeat in 13 games on the Italians.

Milan struggled to turn their possession into meaningful chances and they were punished again seconds before the interval, when Ramsey beat the offside trap to score his seventh goal of the season.

Sophia admitted that the response to the post has been "overwhelming" but she's been trying her best to keep up with the response. She said of him: "I always thought he was the coolest person, so to see that I had the honor of making him laugh was great".

However, it appears Ozil has more than shown up this evening... and he could be about to do more damage with the second-half about to get underway.

Aaron Ramsey deservedly doubled their lead before half-time, collecting Mesut Ozil's piercing pass through the centre of Milan's defence to round keeper Gianluigi Donnarumma and tap in.

Ozil's exuberance on the pitch is always better placed when the players around him fulfil their tactical duties.

Arsenal have four players missing for tonight's game.

Ozil has been directly involved in 100 goals in 189 appearances for Arsenal - 37 goals and 63 assists. Naturally, they are playing different.

For four games straight, the Gunners have been losing.

When asked why Arsenal were so much better than they have been lately, Wenger said the two losses to City - in the Carabao Cup final and the Premier League - had also had an impact on the Brighton game.

The scrutiny on the Arsenal team and pressure to fight for their manager clearly made a difference in the biggest game of the Gunners' season so far - and their talismanic playmaker was unsurprisingly at the heart of it.
