Redskins consider tagging Kirk Cousins, report says

Quarterback Kirk Cousins has said that he wants to go to a team that can win. Would he view the Browns as having that potential

Kirk Cousins breaks his silence after Redskins trade for Alex Smith

The 33-year-old former No. 1 draft pick is viewed as a cheaper, but older, version of Cousins, who was drafted by the Redskins in 2012, named the starter in 2015 and played the last two seasons on the one-year franchise tag.

Kansas City will receive a third-round draft pick and cornerback Kendall Fuller from Washington in exchange for Smith.

The challenge has already been picked up on social media and has become a rage on the Internet in no time. Twinkle Khanna had challenged her Mela co-star and he gladly accepted it.

Now that the 2017-18 National Football League season has come to an end after arguably one of the greatest, most thrilling offensive explosions we've ever seen in Super Bowl history between the Eagles and Patriots, it's never too early to start thinking about hot offseason topics like the draft and free agent signings. And if the Redskins are unable to deal Cousins after placing the franchise tag on him, his salary would count against their cap.

Kirk Cousins is still the lead horse in the race because he could potentially ruin any trade that is out there, that he doesn't approve of, which puts the Skins in a risky situation. To say nothing of fully escaping the dysfunction, bad business model and an organization in Washington that does not value him. Cousins is set to finally hit the open market, rather than be franchised tagged a third time, but not so fast. The Redskins would also have more control over where Cousins ends up.

In clashes that erupted there, soldiers shot dead a teenager identified by the Palestinian health ministry as Ahmad Abu Obeid, 19. He said that another policy guideline of the government is to strengthen settlement.

Others teams rumored to be in the hunt are the Cardinals and Vikings, whose radio voice Paul Allen of KFAN reported that a source told him that the Vikings are "number one with a bullet" on Cousins' list. The thinking: Instead of letting Cousins walk for nothing more than a compensatory pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, Washington can get much more than that for what many team's consider a legit franchise quarterback. He tweeted the tag was "negotiated into CBA for teams to have "intent" to sign players long term".

As former Eagles president and National Football League front office executive Joe Banner noted on Twitter, the only way a Cousins tag-and-trade happens is if Washington definitely knows it has a deal in place before placing the tag on Cousins. Perhaps the Jets could send No. 49 to Washington and then swap No. 37 and No. 44. In addition to picking first and fourth overall, the Browns are at Nos.
