PUBG Corp Testing Ping-Based Matchmaking This Week

The measure, which blocks cheating or helper programs, went live earlier this month after seeing delays of its own.

In the future matchmaking will start to give preference to users with a low ping. Even with its vigilant efforts on that front, the studio is testing new matchmaking methods and plans to share its development road map with players sometime in March. Conversely, scheduling has proved to be an increasing problem for the team in the past, as PUBG scrapped its monthly updates in favour of a timetable that allowed for more wiggle room.

Unfortunately this inclusion had to be delayed so the team could focus on cheat-prevention, but it's good to know that Bluehole Inc. are addressing this massive issue. The developers are hoping this will improve overall gameplay but they want to test it out first.
