Trump will reaffirm his support for giving teachers guns during speech at CPAC

Turning to this year's elections, Trump told conservative activists at CPAC that Republicans must not be complacent in the fall midterms, warning of bad consequences if Democrats take control of Congress.

"When we declare our schools to be gun-free zones it just puts our students in far more danger", he said. "We have put more great conservative ideas into use than perhaps ever before in American history".

He told CPAC in Maryland that a "teacher would have shot the hell out of him before it happened" if they had weapons in the school, during the 1 hour and 20 minute long speech.

The president also alluded to allowing the same policy on USA military bases, and toughen background checks. He said even though they gave in on the U.S. -Mexico border wall, they have not agreed on laws to accompany the protection, on the visa lottery and chain migration. The audience responded with a ferocious cheer.

"You can not claim that you stand for women and put up with that", she said.
