In the interview, Trump criticized Israel's West Bank settlements, which the Palestinians and most of the worldwide community view as illegal obstacles to peace.

The White House added that the two leaders discussed several other diplomatic matters, including efforts to de-escalate tensions on the Korean Peninsula and the stalled peace talks between Israeli and Palestinian authorities.
