The company has highlighted few benefits about the application on its official blog. The app will offer business profiles that will give customers useful information such as a business description, email or store addresses, and website. These include "quick replies", providing immediate responses to commonly asked questions, and automatic greeting and away messages.

"WhatsApp Business enables you to have a business presence on WhatsApp, communicate more efficiently with your customers, and help you grow your business", the company says.

Another feature is the ability to access WhatsApp Business messages on desktop, which is important for enterprise customers.
