Sears opts to close store in Bangor

Sears Holding has announced that it will be closing 64 Kmart stores across the country including the one in Cabot.

Sears Holdings is the parent company of both Sears and Kmart retail stores.

In November, Sears announced that the city's other Kmart, on Henderson Drive, would be closing this month.

The struggling chain said they aim to transform their business model so the physical store footprint and our digital capabilities "match the needs and preferences of our members".
