He will be introduced at the team facility in Alameda on Tuesday in a 3 p.m. ET media conference.

Gruden hasn't coached since he went 9-7 with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2008, and he has served as a color analyst for ESPN's Monday Night Football since 2009.

Gruden reportedly received a 10-year, $100 million deal to return to coaching the Oakland Raiders.

By noting that nothing was official yet, Gruden is pretty much confirming that he will be the Raiders' next head coach.

The Raiders fired Jack Del Rio following a 6-10 season as rumors team owner Mark Davis had targeted Gruden to replace Del Rio. Gruden is the flawless match for Oakland and will bring several talented coaches with him.

Gruden, 54, is set to return to coaching after an absence of almost a decade. From 1998-2001, Gruden was head coach of the Oakland Raiders compiling a record of 38-28 with two playoff appearances that ended in the AFC Wild Card rounds to the Baltimore Ravens. He started off working with Mike Tirico and Ron Jaworski, before settling into a two-man team with Tirico and later Sean McDonough. In fact, Cincinnati has been one of the most frequent sources to find first-time head coaches over the past decade. He came back in 2004 and had a 30-34 record in four seasons, leading Washington to two playoff berths.

That led to the decision to fire Del Rio following his third season and go hard after Gruden.
