Elon Musk's Boring Company flamethrowers are selling like hotcakes

Elon Musk appears to be selling $600 Boring Company flamethrowers now...

Is Elon Musk Now Selling $600 Flamethrowers?

Musk tweeted that The Boring Company flamethrower is real and that it is for sale. The user found a pre-order prompt for a $600 flamethrower instead of a $20 hat. The company plans to cap sales at 20,000 units - not almost enough to fend off the zombie apocalypse.

Some in the industry say that Musk is only doing this (selling hats and flamethrowers, that is) for kicks.

If the Twitter reactions are anything to go by, we'd say the lure is definitely working.

Making light of the end of the world, Musk later denied he was secretly creating a zombie apocalypse - although he clearly has a big enough factory to engineer the hordes.

Authorities had earlier said five were killed in the rampage, but they later said Smith was hospitalized on life support. Bukovac said police were on the scene by the time he arrived and that he had few other details about what happened.

Mr Musk's idea to start selling the weird product began as a joke in December when he pledged that if The Boring Company sold 50,000 limited edition baseball caps, it would start selling flamethrowers. In 2017, it sold 50,000 hats for $20 each.

He wrote on Twitter: "Obviously, a flamethrower is a super awful idea".

Elon Musk revealed The Boring Company Flamethrower this weekend, and the company has already sold $2-million worth of stock.

In a conceptual video launched in April The Boring Company outlined its vision: an enormous web of underground tunnels that cars can access to speed past the traffic at street level. Costing $500, the fiery, undoubtedly cool device is now available for pre-order.

For those insane enough to buy one of these there are only 20 000 'throwers available so you best get your order in quickly.

People who purchase flamethrowers are not required to have background checks, and flamethrowers are not regulated by the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

Either way, it's good to see Musk and the Boring Company are well on their way to becoming the backstory of Portal. Redditors in a few SpaceX, Boring Company, and Musk-related subreddits noticed earlier this week that the URL "boringcompany.com/flamethrower" started redirecting to a page with a password box.
