Snow could snarl Friday evening commute

Sunny skies, high of 50 degrees on tap for Friday

Moderate to heavy bands of snow could set up along the front making for hard driving conditions this afternoon in northwest Montana then this evening around Missoula for the commute home from work.

The snow on Friday is expected to begin mainly after 2 p.m., according to forecasters, and will continue into the evening, tapering off before 10 p.m.

A winter weather advisory has been issued for parts of MA as snow is expected to create a slippery evening commute.

Today's forecast calls for sunny skies with a high of 58 and an overnight low of 30.

The National Weather Service said to expect snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches, with localized amounts up to 15 inches.

There is a chance of rain early Monday, and temperatures will reach the mid-40s, the weather service said.
