The report covers every information request from across the world over the first half of the year - apart from those subject to national security delays. The US alone accounted for 41 percent of data requests, followed by India, the UK, Germany and France with 12 percent, 9 percent, 7 percent and 6 percent respectively.
Over 57% of the account data requests came with a non-disclosure order.
The social media company also said Facebook Facebook restricted access to 1,228 pieces of content after requests from law enforcement agencies and the India Computer Emergency Response Team within the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.
"We continue to carefully scrutinise each request we receive for account data - whether from an authority in the US, Europe, or elsewhere - to make sure it is legally sufficient".
