Penn State earns New Year's Six bid to Fiesta Bowl to play Washington

Its last appearance came on January 1, 1997, in a win over Texas. Penn State will travel to Arizona for the Fiesta Bowl.

No. 9 Penn State will face No. 12 Washington in the Fiesta Bowl. They earned the final New Years Six bowl bid by virtue of finishing No. 11 in the College Football Playoff rankings.
