Instagram update introduces new 'Recommended for You' section

New Instagram test adds posts your friends like into your feed

Instagram becomes an interest network with hashtag following

You will now see some Recommended For You suggested posts in your home feed, based on what the accounts you follow like.

According to the report, you can temporarily hide "Recommended for You" from your newsfeed by clicking on the three dots on the top-right of the post. But, the company says that it won't just flood your main feed with recommended posts, and, this section will only pop up "after you've viewed all the posts in your feed". Some users already took to Twitter to denounce the new feature, with many saying they prefer recommended posts to be separated from their followers' posts.
