The feature has first been introduced in India where two-wheeled transportation is very common, but the feature will expand into other countries in the future, according to Mashable. It will also show major landmarks on the route since most of the two-wheeler riders rely on those.

As pointed out in screenshots provided by Android Police, this mode cuts off a few minutes off of shorter rides, and up to an hour off of longer ones. Similar to that in cars, the two-wheeler mode too comes with voice assist in navigation but at the same time shows an even more convenient mode compared to that of the vehicle.

"India is also one of the top 3 country for user contributions for maps", Martha Welsh, Director, Google Maps, said making the announcement.

You can get this feature with the latest google maps update (v9.67.1). Voice-guided navigation like the vehicle mode has also been carried forward to the 2-wheeler mode. It also shows parking status at your destination or where is the nearest place that you can park your bike. For instance, offline maps, landmark navigation, which we launched in India first are now popular with other map users across the world.
