Mumbai: Test team vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane's father allegedly ran over an elderly woman in Maharashtra, following which he was booked by police for causing death by negligence.
The cricketer's father, Madhukar Baburao Rahane, 54, has been arrested by the police in this regard. The incident involved Madhukar's vehicle. Madhukar was travelling to Tarkarli, Konkan via Pune-Bengaluru highway.

Rahane's Father lost control of the vehicle and ended up hitting the lady who died. "The deceased was apparently standing on the middle of the road when Mr. Rahane, unable to swerve the auto on time, rammed into her", said a police officer. "Rahane is cooperating in the investigation", he added.
