Abe to reach for J-pop and golf to avoid Trump trade deal

The next stop was a golfing date with his "friend" Shinzo Abe, prime minister of Japan, with whom he enjoys a close personal relationship. Besides Japan, he will visit South Korea, China, Vietnam and the Philippines.

Since taking office, though, Trump has bonded with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

It comes as Trump sets off on a whirlwind tour of Asia to discuss North Korea's nukes with diferent leaders. She said that the Japanese believe it is already "seeing it pay off", including when Trump agreed to meet with the families of Japanese citizens kidnapped by the North Korean regime, an important issue for Tokyo.
