US Senator Rand Paul assaulted at his home in Kentucky

Rand Paul was "blindsided" by the attacker, his spokeswoman Kelsey Cooper said in a statement.

Online real estate sites say Paul's home is worth around $500,000.

According to KSP, after they got to Paul's house, they determined Rene Boucher intentionally assaulted Paul, causing a minor injury.
