If Mullen is able to recreate what he has done so well at Florida, with the Gator's superior prestige and rich history, they have a real shot at competing with Kirby Smart's Bulldogs for the SEC East crown. Mullen coached the Bulldogs to a 69 and 46 record over eight seasons.
Mullen previously spent four years (2005-08) as Florida's offensive coordinator and won two national championships while guiding Tebow to the top of the school record books. Mississippi State also was the No. 1 team in the inaugural College Football Playoff rankings.
No doubt, Florida fans will have a mixed reaction with Mullen.
