One source told ESPN that Rose was "tired of being hurt" and that it was "taking a toll on him mentally".

Cavaliers coach Tyronn Lue said he expected Derrick Rose to eventually return to the team after working through the "personal matter" that caused him to leave Wednesday. He signed a veterans minimum contract with the Cavs in the offseason.
