Union Complains That Dallas Cowboys Now Have To Stand During Anthem

In a tweet yesterday afternoon, King says he spoke to multiple Cowboys players and that "none of them are going to test Jerry Jones", with "every member of the team" ready to stand during the anthem before their next game on October 22, when they visit the San Francisco 49ers.

Jones also broached the business side of the argument with his team, explaining the importance of keeping the Cowboys' sponsors satisfied and TV ratings trending upward, according to ESPN.

Jones, who offered for the players to meet with him one-on-one over the new team rule, appeared to cave to Trump when demanding his players not "disrespect the flag".

"If there is anything that is disrespectful to the flag then we will not play", Jones told the Dallas Morning News.

As previously reported, commissioner Roger Goodell sent a letter to NFL teams on Tuesday expressing a belief that "everyone should stand for the national anthem" and that the dispute surrounding the issue is "threatening to erode the unifying power of our game".

Jones said the NFL's operations manual left the issue of standing for the national anthem ambiguous.

Garrett said the meeting was out of "love, admiration and respect for the players".

She used Twitter to try to encourage more female recruits to come forward and offered advice on travel to Syria. There have been several such claims of IS militants having been killed only for them to resurface months later.

Before the anthem of that game, players stood arm in arm with Jones, other front office executives, coaches and staff and took a knee. "I think that was part of Mr. Jones' message yesterday".

Meanwhile, Lions safety Glover Quin, who is Detroit's union representative, said that when the NFLPA responds to Jones' remarks, it won't be ambiguous.
