Calling For UNSC Sanctions On Afghanistan Terror Funding, India Targets Pakistan Safe Heavens

Pakistan's foreign minister Khawaja Asif did what appeared to be some plain talking when he told an audience at the Asia Society in NY that Hafiz Saeed and the Lashkar-e-Taiba and others of their ilk had become liabilities for his country.

This is despite the fact that Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, during his recent visit to the United States, categorically stated that any political or military role for India in Afghanistan would be unacceptable to Pakistan.

"(As part of) the next phase of our commitment to Afghanistan, we had agreed that India would extend development assistance", India's Foreign Secretary Subrahmanyam Jaishankar said.

Kushner lawyer: No private emails related to Russian Federation investigation
It is something that if they were honest about, I think you'd have Republican members of Congress calling for an investigation. All nonpersonal emails were forwarded to his official address and all have been preserved in any event.

On January 31, Saeed and four others were put under house arrest by the Pakistan's Punjab government for 90 days under the Anti-Terrorism Act 1997.

Pakistan has said that the Indian national would not be executed until he has exhausted his mercy appeals.

He further added that stability and prosperity in Afghanistan is in the interest of the region.

Against the Eagles, Philip Rivers will try to rebound from very bad game
Not surprisingly, Eagle defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz hasn't sent extra men at the quarterback very much through three games. He'll talk trash, he'll get riled up and he can make all the throws. "And he looks to take shots - explosive-type plays".

Members of the panel, which elected Khusru Bakhtiar as the new chairman, said the foreign minister's remarks undermined Pakistan's enormous sacrifices in the fight against terrorism. Replying to a question, he rejected any organised presence of the Middle Eastern terrorist outfit Islamic State or Da'ish in Pakistan.

In New York, Asif suggested that such a swap was under consideration but claimed Pakistan was discussing a deal on Jadhav with Afghanistan.

He said that his "heart bleeds" because of what Pakistan has become today, the report adds. "These groups are being used to foment unrest and orchestrate terrorist attacks in Pakistan and other regional countries", he said. "The most promising element of this policy is the recently launched China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), a multi-billion dollars initiative entailing multiple development and connectivity initiatives and projects, including infrastructure, energy, Gwadar port and industrial co-operation". Pakistan has also been complaining that the Indian secret agency RAW is partnering with Afghan security institutions to fund and plot terrorist attacks against Pakistan through fugitive anti-state militants.

Tillerson: US does not recognize Kurdish independence vote in Iraq
The United States, which was "deeply disappointed" that the referendum was held, has urged both sides to "engage constructively". It went on to say the people of Iraq should avoid "anything that might harm the national unity of Iraq's communities".

In another statement, the spokesperson said it had been decided that from October 2, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will receive documents for attestation from 8:30 am to 1 pm while the delivery timings will be from 2 pm to 400pm.
