Bride-to-be Nicole Gross was able to pick up her gown, but some people are not as lucky.

With their original receipt, impacted brides and 'maids will receive 30% off of wedding dresses and 20% off of bridesmaid dresses at David's Bridal-including current promotion prices and clearance prices.

Stawarz is one of the lucky ones - she has her dress at home. She saw the article on Syracuse.com Thursday afternoon and raced to the store to get her bridesmaid dress.

"I'm super irritated about it", The Lincoln woman said. The retailer's Baton Rouge store has closed, and multiple boutiques in Louisiana that carry the line, including two in the New Orleans area, have been left scrambling.

On Thursday, some customers went to stores to find out what was happening.

"I have zero faith in that", she said. She said store employees asked if she wanted to pick up her bridal dress, but she told them she would wait until she got back from a trip.

As recently as three days ago the company posted a tweet highlighting one of their mermaid dresses for sale. "I can figure it out, but I'm still upset because I paid for something and I don't know if I'll get a refund", McCallum said. "All were paid for".

According to Frish, a manager told employees that Alfred Angelo Bridal, which is based in south Florida, was shutting down dozens of locations nationwide because of financial problems.

Sue Sturgis, president of Cause for Paws, said the dresses were donated by Ellynne Bridal.
