SC inmate captured after 2nd prison escape

'Dangerous' SC man who has escaped twice from maximum security is caught yet again

South Carolina's maximum-security prisons have cameras trained on their perimeters and routine headcounts are taken.

A drone flew in wire cutters that allowed a sc inmate to escape from a maximum-security prison for the second time earlier this week.

Causey was located inside a motel near Austin, Texas, according to SLED Chief Mark Keel, who addressed media outlets during a press conference Friday in Columbia.

In 2010, a veteran SC correctional officer survived being shot six times at his home after officials say an inmate planned the shooting and used an illegal cellphone to coordinate with the shooter.

The Old City of al-Khalil is also home to the Ibrahimi Mosque, one of the key holy sites in the Muslim world. Hebron's Old City has also been put on UNESCO's list of world heritage sites in danger.

The inmate was serving a life sentence at the SC prison for kidnapping an attorney. He and another inmate escaped Broad River Correctional Institution in Columbia in 2005 by hiding in a trash truck. They were caught because they ordered pizza and acted bizarrely towards the delivery woman, who then told her husband. It is believed he used a cell phone to orchestrate his escape and possibly a drone delivered the contraband. "We started our count, and verified around 2 p.m. on the 5th that he was gone".

'Everyone who assisted him -we intend on bringing them to justice as well, ' Keel said.

But an official aerial photo of the prison shows rings of tall fences and an expanse of more than 50 yards between the prison perimeter and the cellblocks, making it unlikely someone could have thrown or catapulted tools to him. Stirling said Causey used wire cutters to cut through four fences this time.

The motel room in Austin where Causey was arrested is about 1,200 miles from Lieber. Two years later, Brewer was found hanging from a bed sheet in his cell.

McAuliffe Denies Clemency To William Morva
Terry McAuliffe to halt Thursday's execution of William Morva , who is convicted of killing two people during an escape in 2006. But the slain deputy's mother, Jeaneen Sutphin , told The Richmond Times-Dispatch that she hoped the execution would go ahead.

"It is senseless to me that the federal government continues to prohibit state agencies and state corrections officials from blocking cell phones", he said.

Causey is serving a life sentence after being found guilty of kidnapping, armed robbery and first-degree burglary related to his role in a high-profile 2002 home invasion case.

This is the second time Causey has escaped from the Department of Corrections.

An ongoing internal review of what led to the escape has resulted in one Lieber employee being fired, Corrections spokeswoman Sommer Sharpe said.

She and her opponent, Alison Riske, of America, had asked to stop playing after only two games of their second-round... She was shouting "Sorana, help me" and all I could say was "I'm here, be strong", she further added.

Stirling criticized federal authorities for not granting state prison officials authority to block cell phone signals at their facilities.
