The actress, who is turning 101 years old on July 1, filed a complaint at the L.A. County Superior Court on Friday, June 30.
In addition to the show's dialogue and style, the complaint specifically points to the hair, make-up, and wardrobe choices made for Catherine Zeta-Jones, who portrayed Olivia de Havilland in the show. However, she says she didn't give her permission for her likeness to be used in the show, and is alleging invasion of privacy, among other things.
In the claim, de Havilland declares that the series was supposed to depict what actually happened, but she was never consulted in regards to her character or the truth of the events.
Severe Weather Risk — FIRST ALERT Friday
NOAA's Storm Prediction Center has placed parts of north and central Alabama under a slight risk of severe weather for Saturday . A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued until 5:30 PM for Oneida County.
But now the success of the hotly-anticipated drama rests in the balance, after it was revealed yesterday that Dame Olivia is suing the network Ryan Murphy Productions over their "completely false" portrayal of her, which she believes to be "inherently" untrue.
Catherine Zeta-Jones portrays de Havilland in "Feud", appearing numerous times in most episodes of the series and in FX's extensive advertising campaign. "Did that happen? What was your take on that?'" he explained. But she also expressed her dislike for shows that feature any representation of other persons, especially those who have already passed on.
FX and Ryan Murphy have another feud on their hands.
Her lawyers further alleged that "FX and its partners appropriated Miss de Havilland's name and identity and placed her in a false light to sensationalize the series and to promote their own businesses, including the FX network and brand, ignoring Miss de Havilland's interests entirely".

Earlier this year, the producer acknowledged in an interview with the Hollywood Reporter that he did not contact de Havilland about Feud. "Her black gown, capped with sheer sleeves, is exactly the same", De Havilland's lawyers assert.
Olivia de Havilland, two-time Best Actress Oscar victor and silver screen icon, is coming out of retirement for one last prize fight.
