The US imposed a laptop ban on flights from 10 countries in March

In the last week of March, the USA administration had imposed a ban on carriage of personal electronic items, bigger than a mobile phone, onboard flights in carry on baggage.

Passengers on Qatar Airways flights to the United States can now carry laptops and other electronic devices on board as the U.S. authorities have lifted the restrictions on the Doha-based airline.

Doha is the fourth of the affected cities to have the US-imposed restrictions removed.

A month ago, it suspended all flights to Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt "until further notice" after those countries broke off diplomatic relations and transport links with Qatar. The airports included those at Doha, Dubai and Istanbul.
