"I think I've stated on the record that there was a lot of confusion trying to put a lot of dates together", Constand said in response to a question by defense lawyer Angela Agrusa.
Prosecutors played a recording of the call, in which Cosby offered to pay for Constand's education. "Of course she was calling him back".
Agrusa's questioning focused on the minutiae of Constand's early 2005 statements to police regarding Cosby's actions on these occasions.
The Associated Press does not typically identify people who say they are victims of sexual assault unless they grant permission, which Constand has done. The woman claimed she became incapacitated and could not fight off the sexual assault that followed.
The Mirror took to the streets in D.C.to ask complete strangers what they expect the outcome of the trial will be and how Cosby's celeb status will factor into the justice process. Agrusa asked this morning.
She said she demanded Cosby's phone number from her daughter after learning of the alleged assault and called Cosby to confront him. Constand hesitated. By her own account, it did seem that she had been generally interested in a career change, though she was looking toward massage therapy, the field she is in now.
Sessions wants his testimony open to public
But suddenly on Saturday, the Justice Department announced that Sessions would instead talk to the Senate Intelligence Committee . Initially, Sessions expected to testify in a closed-door session, said two sources familiar with the attorney general's thinking.
"I feel bad telling you this, like I sound like a perverted person", she said Cosby told her. Cosby, who has said he does not plan to testify, repeatedly lowered and shook his head as she spoke.
She said she also feared what Mr Cosby might do: "I felt that if I had gone to the police, that Mr Cosby would retaliate and try to hurt me, that he would try to hurt me or my family in some way".
"I did not place that many, but there were several, yes", Constand said, maintaining composure throughout the over three-hour cross-examination, sharing that any information not immediately disclosed to police was simply because she hadn't been asked.
Constand took to the witness stand to share her recollections of the night the now-disgraced comedian is said to have drugged and sexually assaulted her at his home.
In the biggest United States celebrity trial in years, Cosby faces three counts of aggravated indecent assault, which each carry a maximum sentence of 10 years in jail and a $25,000 fine. But she said he kept their next conversation short.
Andrea Constand's livid mother, Gianna, called Cosby in 2005 just after her daughter told her, "Mom, he drugged and raped me" the year before.

Despite the defense's efforts to discredit Constand as being complicit in having a consensual sexual relationship with Cosby, the prosecution ultimately connected a few important dots between Constand, a former Temple University director of women's basketball operations, and Cosby, a former member of the board of trustees of the school where she worked. Therese Serignese, one of dozens who've alleged Cosby molested them decades ago, walks outside the courtroom during lunch break at Bill Cosby's sexual assault trial at the Montgomery County Courthouse.
The older Constand testified about how her daughter first revealed the alleged incident.
Constand testified Tuesday under direct examination that she had left the dinner abruptly when Cosby put his hand on waist and tried to unbutton her trousers. Gianna Constand told the jury that she was distraught to learn what Cosby had done to her daughter.
Andrea did, and Gianni called Cosby and left a message, asking him to call her back.
Earlier, the defense team pointed out that Constand told police she'd never been alone with Cosby before the alleged assault and was never in contact with him afterward. Constand's case is the only one in which Cosby has been charged.
