Trade Rumors Butler and George Are Up for Grabs

Pacers, Cavaliers, Nuggets Working on Three-Team Trade to Send Paul George to Cleveland

There's a Paul George rumor every day involving the Cavaliers, as the organization tries to find a third team to partner with to move the necessary players around that makes everybody happy in a three-team trade.

However, sources told the negotiations were "nothing serious" and "very unlikely" to become finalized.

The Pacers have never wanted Kevin Love, Cleveland's most expendable asset. They also can entice IN with young players such as two-way forward Jae Crowder, shooting guard Avery Bradley and 2016's No. 3 overall pick, Jaylen Brown.

The Pacers have been shopping around and teams are reportedly still trying to trade for George, hoping that one year of success could convince him to re-sign next summer. The addition makes them a scary team even though we haven't watched them play yet. That package would most likely be some combination of Kenneth Faried, Gary Harris, Emmanuel Mudiay, and Wilson Chandler, though ESPN's Chris Haynes heard that Faried might go to Cleveland in the deal.

The Rockets are also targeting Blake Griffin, Kyle Lowry and Paul Millsap on the open market.

The Cavaliers reportedly were in talks with the Bulls for Jimmy Butler before Chicago dealt the All-Star guard to Minnesota on a draft-day trade. When asked to give his thoughts about the potential move that could land George elsewhere, Myles Turner admitted, via Alex Kennedy of HoopsHype, that it's something he has no control on and that he understands his teammate needs what's best for him and his family.
